Hope,
ReplyDeleteYou provide some good information on these international agencies. I like the Borgen Project mission statement. The Borgen Project believes that leaders of the most powerful nation on earth should be doing more to address global poverty. We’re the innovative, national campaign that is working to make poverty a focus of U.S. foreign policy. If leaders from the most powerful nations can get together to end poverty worldwide it will be a blessing. If they can come together they can end hungry, improve education and medicine just to name a few things they can do together. Vary impress with how Borgen got this organization started with a job as a fishing vessel docked in Dutch Harbor, Alaska, with a laptop and a budget from an Alaskan paycheck.
Hope,
ReplyDeleteYou offered a great deal of details in this week's post. Your opening statement was so profound, that I will surely incorporate it in my everyday thoughts. You provided---"we live in our perspective communities, some would be consumed with the issues that directly impact the lives closest". This is an issue, as some issues extend beyond our communities and speaking with others on national, federal and international levels can give us deeper understanding of how to best address and solve issues at hand. Additionally, the positions you have posted do not seem so far from reach. Again, thanks for sharing.
